At last, Bomb can be played on Supply Room and Kayak, although the area just outside has been turned into an indoors Diving Room. Finally, a new pair of sites has been put in. Radar and Server remain unchanged, though you’ll find much of that area has been reorganized. The site in the Radio Room is now found in the expanded Lounge Room, across the hall from the usual Coast Guard site. The bomb on Kitchen has been moved to the Security Room, with a brand new doorway connecting it to the Map Room. Speaking of objectives, the third item is quite important: bomb site changes. This should allow players to come up with new strategies, all while slowing down objective pushing. Then, we increased the number of indoor playable areas and expanded some of them, like the Lounge Room. Each building now has two each, color-coded to simplify call-outs. While this improves navigation, we pushed that further by adding two staircases to make vertical movement more accessible. With two bridges, though, players can move more freely, and teams have to coordinate more efficiently in order to cover all entry points. With only one path linking the eastern and western buildings, both Attackers and Defenders could find themselves cut off from the objective area. To start off, we wanted players to be able to rotate more easily. It’s been a long time coming, but we’re bringing a few things to this map that we felt were missing. The casual mode map pool will also be shaken up.This season, a wind of change is blowing over Kanal. Hereford Base, Themepark, and Fortress are all getting the ax, while the recently remodeled Kanal is joining in. The map rotation in ranked is also changing. For lower ranked players, like myself, there will be more tiers for the Copper, Bronze, and Silver ranks, while Gold ranks are being trimmed back. For reference, the current middle rank is about 2500MMR and each win can net around a 100MMR increase. This top tier rank is reserved for only the best players boasting a 5000+MMR.
On top of that, there is an entirely new rank. There will be bigger penalties for leaving games and AFK players will now drop the defuser if they have it. Rainbow Six Siege will also see a swath of changes to its matchmaking and ranked systems.

There will also be fewer windows for attackers to breach as well as better color coding for interior rooms. That quick entry can be dangerous though as a well placed Frost or Kapkan trap can stop her from pushing. Considering how quickly Amaru can mantle her way over a window, she will be an extremely powerful rush meta operator. This will allow her to reach any window, ledge, skylight, or hatch that isn’t blocked off by a Castle barricade. This two speed, two armor attacker comes equipped with the Garra Hook. The attackers will be getting their own little taste of the Batman lifestyle with Amaru. Really looking forward to what people are going to do with him. It seems like he could be a master of top-level plays involving forcing enemies to route around the fire directly into a nitro cell. Lastly, his gadgets will be the impact grenade and the nitro cell. Goyo will be sporting the Vector APC from Mira and the TCSG12 shotgun from Kaid.
